SEPTEMBER 2020; CEO Tim Piepho recently presented a $1000 check to The Food Bank of Siouxland to be used as matching funds for The Siouxland Big Give on October 6th. This will help entice others to donate money for meals for children affected by Covid-19.
“Since the pandemic, our numbers have gone up greatly. In Fiscal Year 2019, the Food Bank distributed 2.6 million pounds of food to the community and we are projecting that by the end of this month we will have distributed over 3.5 million for FY 2020, an increase over last year of 34%,” said Food Bank Development Director Valerie Peterson.
