TELCO TRIAD CCU NAMED FIRST NW IOWA CU TO EARN NATIONAL JUNTOS AVANZAMOS DESIGNATION
SIOUX CITY, IA – Telco Triad Community Credit Union (Telco Triad CCU) celebrated becoming the first Iowa credit union in Northwest Iowa to be awarded the prestigious national Juntos Avanzamos (“Together We Advance”) designation by Inclusiv. The Juntos Avanzamos designation is awarded to credit unions that are committed to serving Hispanic and immigrant communities by helping them navigate the U.S. financial system and providing safe, affordable, and relevant financial services. Juntos Avanzamos credit unions employ bilingual, culturally-competent staff and leadership, accept alternative forms of ID, and treat all members with respect.
In recognition of the honor, community members, Telco Triad employees, Inclusiv Executive Vice President Pablo DeFilippi, Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) Vice President Jaimie Miller, local dignitaries, and Telco Triad Board of Directors gathered at Telco Triad’s Morningside Branch at 2550 Glenn Ave. for a proclamation ceremony that began at 10:30 am. Food and refreshments were served after the ceremony.
