Car Buying 101

The birds are chirping and the sun is shining - it must be Spring! As the snow and ice melt off your car you might notice it’s looking - and sounding - a little different than you remember. You know it’s time to replace it, but you don’t know where to start?

 1) Get Pre-Approved.

Make sure you are looking for a new vehicle that’s in a price-range you can afford. Apply online at and we’ll get you preapproved for free.

2) Do your Homework.

Online sites like will give you guidelines as to what a car is worth so you know you’re getting a good deal.

3) Keep Monthly Payments Low.

Put as much in a down payment as you can. The more money you pay upfront, the less you will have to borrow. You can also pay your tax, title and licensing separate so you aren’t paying interest on extras.

Pay attention to the term of the loan, or how long it will take you to pay it off. The longer it takes you to pay off, the more you will be paying in interest.

Apply online or stop in and see Tim or any of our other trusted lenders to see how low of a rate you can get with Telco Triad.
